‘Photos: Aftermath of yesterday’s #Floods – Numerous vehicles stuck in the Jukskei River in Edenvale on Gauteng’s East Rand & many properties in Johannesburg were severely flooded.’

The Crime Intelligence and Community Awareness – South Africa on Thursday reported that at least six people drowned in Gauteng floods on Wednesday.

CICA warned motorists to stay off flooded roads:

“Most vehicles can float in as little as 30 CM of water – stay off flooded roads.”

“If a road you are on is clearly rising & you cannot get off then get out of your vehicle & get to higher ground on foot as fast as possible”
